Playground Shade Sail for Town Commons Tot Lot
On April 26, 2006, the Carrboro Parks Project led the way in providing a shade sail for the Carrboro Town Commons Tot Lot playground. The project was requested by the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department. Money was raised by individual contacts, tabling at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market, an individual challenge grant, a grant from the Strowd Roses Foundation, and fundraisers like the Weaver Street Market Cookout on the Lawn. The Town of Carrboro has since replaced this shade sail.
