Playground Shade Sails for Town Commons Tot Lot
On April 26, 2006, the Carrboro Parks Project led the way in providing a shade sail for the Carrboro Town Center Tots Lot playground. The project was requested by the Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department. Money was raised by individual contacts, tabling at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market, individual challenge grants, the Strowd Roses Foundation, and fundraisers like the Weaver Street Market Cookout on the Lawn.
